The Research Data Service (RDS) team participated in the Conference on Research Data Infrastructure (CoRDI) at RWTH Aachen University from August 26-28, 2025.
CoRDI is the central conference of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). The NFDI's goal is to sustainably secure, network, and make research data available in Germany – a key contribution to open and future-oriented science.
The RDS team contributed with two presentations:
- Talk: Training courses on RDM for researchers as a cross-location task – the RDM curriculum of the UA Ruhr
The focus was on the RDM curriculum of UA Ruhr, our cross-institutional training program for researchers at Ruhr University Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen on research data management.
With approximately 20 events per semester, it provides RDM basics as well as advanced specializations. The goal is to support researchers flexibly and sustainably in RDM.
→ UA Ruhr RDM Curriculum: Registration and current dates - Poster: Implementing a hierarchical data model into a repository platform – A feasibility study
The poster presented a feasibility study on implementing a hierarchical data model into our repository platform ReSeeD.
ReSeeD is available to all RUB researchers for 10-year archiving and publication of research data. This contribution was developed in cooperation with the INF project of the Collaborative Research Center CRC 1280 'Extinction Learning'.
Both contributions demonstrate how the RDS team develops practical solutions and advances cooperative concepts for RDM. For researchers at RUB, this means: access to innovative training formats, reliable infrastructures, and active networking.
