The Research Academy of the University Alliance Ruhr will once again host its 'Frühjahrsakademie' in 2026, offering a diverse program focused on academic work and career development. The event is aimed specifically at doctoral students in the early stages of their doctoral studies and those interested in pursuing a doctorate, providing targeted support during this critical phase of their academic careers.

On 24 March 2026, the program will also address the topic of research data management (RDM). The presentation “From Data to Publication: Practical Support from the UA Ruhr University Libraries!” will demonstrate how researchers can manage their data in a structured manner—from planning and organization through to publication. It will provide insights into the specific support services offered by the UA Ruhr’s RDM service centers.

The focus is on how to effectively manage research data from the very beginning—as the foundation for transparent and traceable research. For doctoral students in particular, it is often crucial to familiarize themselves with efficient research data management early on. The RDS at RUB supports this process with individual consulting and practical training. To build targeted expertise in research data management (RDM), the RDS team, together with the other RDM service centers of the UA Ruhr, offers a structured training program—the RDM Curriculum of the UA Ruhr.
