Before the summer break begins, it’s worth taking a look at your calendar: On September 22, 2026, the RDM network at Ruhr University Bochum invites you to its next meeting. The focus will be on Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs) – digital tools that support the structured and comprehensible documentation of research processes and research data.

The event will kick off with a presentation by our colleague Dr. Marcel Marson from the Research Data Services Team at the Universität Duisburg-Essen, who will share insights into best practices for using electronic lab notebooks. The event will then focus on practical exchange: In World Café sessions, participants will discuss experiences, challenges, and ideas – ranging from the first steps with electronic lab notebooks to their integration into RDM workflows and their connection to other RDM tools.

Date: Tuesday, September 22, 2026, 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Location: IA 1/83, Ruhr University Bochum
