With the THINK research building, Ruhr University Bochum is gaining additional high-performance computing (HPC) capacity for the cognitive and neurosciences. The new HPC cluster will be connected to the existing 'Elysium' infrastructure and will significantly expand its computing and storage capacities. For more information, see the original article in RUB News .

This expansion exemplifies how central research infrastructures support data- and computation-intensive research across various disciplines. The RUB News article also quotes Dr. Nina Winter (IT.SERVICES). Together with Veronika Josenhans (University Library), she leads the Research Data Services (RDS) team.

The RDS team is a joint initiative of the University Library and IT.SERVICES and serves as a central point of contact for RUB researchers on all matters related to research data. Through close collaboration and shared staff with the HPC team at RUB as well as the University Library's research support services , the RDS team accompanies researchers throughout the entire data lifecycle—from research data management and the use of high-performance computers to the publication and long-term preservation of research data.

Our website provides an overview of the support services offered by the RDS team.
