At RUB's RDM Network meeting on April 28, the focus was on a key topic from the kick-off meeting in November 2025: workflows in practical, day-to-day research data management (RDM).
Following a brief update on current developments in RDM at RUB - including the establishment of the new RDM Advisory Board and new training courses - network members provided insights into their RDM workflows in short presentations. The topics ranged from structuring project folders, issues related to data publication and reproducible workflows to community-driven approaches.
Following this, an interactive World Café provided a space for discussion on challenges and potential solutions in various phases of RDM. Once again, it became clear how valuable interdisciplinary dialogue and the sharing of experiences within the network are. The results of the discussions are currently being compiled and will be made available shortly.
The next meeting of the RDM Network will take place on June 10, 2026 (2:00-4:00 p.m., online) and will focus on the topic of data storage. Whether dealing with large datasets, sensitive information, or collaborative projects, finding the right storage solution is a key challenge in everyday research. The focus will therefore be on practical solutions, insights into existing services at RUB, and discussions on specific issues and experiences.
